My First Fan Fiction Since High School!

I am so excited right now! I finished a 'Merlin' Fan Fiction, but not the one I told you guys about earlier. I got distracted after watching 4.08, 'Lamia'. When Merlin was about to use his power, I was so excited that Gwen was about to find out about him being a Sorcerer, but then bloody Arthur had to show up, LOL! So I decided to write this alternative ending to the episode. I have published it on Fan Fiction.net, and you will be able to find my profile on the right in the navigation. I only posted it a couple of hours ago, and I have four reviews already, so thanks to all those people! Check it out and let me know what you think. :)

Marry The Night

I know I'm behind the times here guys, but I've been busy, hehe. Anyway, Lady Gaga has released a couple of minutes of the prelude of the 'Marry The Night' video. She said that this video would tell the story that she's never told her fans. Apparently the entire prelude is over seven minutes! How long is the whole video I wanna know?! Anyway, what did you think of the teaser? What do you think she's going to tell us? To me it looks like a psychiatric ward, but that's about all I can tell. Hopefully when the full video is released it'll make perfect sense. Check it out below!

My Latest Project!

Hey guys! I am so excited to say that I am working on a project!!!! I am working on my first fan fiction since high school. Yes, it's not like it's an original story or novel with all my own characters, but hopefully It will start the creative juices flowing and I can develop my skills. It's a Merlin story that will carry on from where last week's amazing episode left off. It's the next episode if you will. I would love to have it completed by Saturday, but obviously I have no hope, and don't want to give myself a deadline. Any similarities with the real episode that may occur will be entirely coincidental. I will post it up when completed and I hope that you guys will read it and like it.

Well, I'm done with the look of the site. I hope you guys like it! It had to feature my gorgeous David of course, hehe. As you can see though, the content is kinda lacking, but I'll be adding more over the coming days.

In totally unrelated news, here's how sad I am....I went on my own to see 'The Lion King' in 3D today, lol. My god I love that film. Scar is definitely the best Disney villain ever, and if Mufasa's death doesn't move you, you have a heart of stone. I can't believe it's seventeen years old. I was six when it came out! I never saw it at the cinema, so it was great seeing it today.

Site Revamp And More

I just wanted to let you guys know that I am in the middle of a complete site revamp, and until I post otherwise, this is not the finished version of the site, but I wanted to do it without putting the site on hiatus. I was toying with the idea of creating a proper site rather than carrying on here, but I'm not an experienced web designer, and I don't know how to create a proper site with an intergrated blog, so I'm just gonna work at getting this one to look half decent.

Anyway, changing the subject, how amazing was Merlin last night??!! I wasn't expecting such a big shift mid-season, but Uther's gone and Arthur's king! I'm actually pretty sad that Uther's gone, but things are really getting exciting here. How's Merlin ever going to reveal his magic now? It's really inspiring me to write a fan-fic. Will get back to you guys on that, lol.

Also, in Laura land, I went to an education fayre yesterday in a desperate hope to decide what to do with my life, and now I think I'm more confused than ever. It's quite a daunting thought going back into education at my age, but if I want to make something of myself, that seems to be what I need to do. Plus I'm so confused with where my passion and talents lie. I have so many things I'd love to do, but I just need to experience them and see if they're for me. Oh well, happy days, lol. See you guys soon when I've finished my revamp.

Vidding Crisis

Okay, I am having a major vidding crisis guys. I'm totally losing my will to vid. I'm just having one of those moments where things are niggling at me something chronic when I try to do it. Every good song seems to be immensely overused, some of my DVD's come out in exceptionally awful quality when I rip them onto the computer, (*cough* Harry Potter series, *cough*) and I don't want to download torrents as they always come with a virus, and that is also another reason that I am always behind on clips before the DVD's come out. If there's a great moment in a Doctor Who/Merlin episode, somebody has always vidded it the next day, and it makes me feel so behind the times. I also don't know how to get myself noticed. I don't know, it's all so frustrating. If anybody could offer me any encouragement or advice, you'd be my best friend forever, lol.

The Wedding Of River Song

What a hugely disappointing end to a rather hit and miss series. I have said it before, and I will say it again, the episodes and the series arc as a whole are so full of potential, but it just doesn't seem to quite reach that potential. You can see enough good ideas and many great moments in there, and the story arc about the Doctor's death has kept me interested and excited the whole way through, but there is just something missing.

There has been some rather cringe worthy humour, some lazy writing (such as the forgotten search for baby Melody) and the finale has certainly left plot holes and confused me.

I will start off with my questions about the finale if I can explain them. My first question is: What was the wedding all about?? There was no explanation for it. It just suddenly happened. If it was all a ruse he used to get her to look into his eyes, he didn't need a wedding for that.

My second question is a rather complicated one and I hope I explain it properly. At the beginning of the series Amy and Rory were living their normal lives and received the invitations from The Doctor right? I'm assuming that this was after he had dropped them home in 'The God Complex'. BUT, after they had watched his death and the 'younger' Doctor showed up, they began the adventures we have witnessed that led to them being dropped home. How does that work?

Third question: If the Doctor that was shot by the astronaut by the lake was a Teselecta all along, how the hell did he start to regenerate?

And my last complicated question is this: If the Doctor didn't whisper his name in her ear, how does she know it in 'Silence In The Library'? Next time we see them meet, she's going to know him less, so if she doesn't know it already, how does that work? Did she already know it by then? I'm assuming so.

Anyway, sorry to make your brain's hurt, lol. Don't get me wrong, the episode was still fairly enjoyable, and the plot about time disintegrating was a great idea. I am also intrigued about the new plot that Moffat appears to be setting up about 'the fall of the eleventh when the question is asked'. Could Matt have decided when he's leaving? I wonder how far down the line it will be? It would be a shame if he left because when he's given some decent writing he's a great Doctor. Well, we'll see.

Is It Really October???

Picture the scene: people laying on the beach with their fish and chips and ice-creams, screaming kids playing in the sea, people lounged out on deck chairs on the pier, sunglasses, shorts; everything. Then you realize...it's October. If I had seen this a few months ago, I wouldn't have believed it, but I have been out today in shorts and t-shirt, walking along the pier with an ice lolly. I just cannot get my head around the fact that it's October. Something is weird here. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled to be able to break out my summer clothes, but I'm going to melt if it gets any hotter! It's amazing. I put the winter quilt back on my bed a few weeks ago after losing hope that we were going to get a summer. I may have to change back.

Anyway, enjoy the nice weather guys, and enjoy Doctor Who and Merlin tonight! I'm not home tonight sadly, but I can't wait to watch them. I may have to watch Doctor Who when I get back tonight, hehe.

Vidding Hiatus

After a lot of thought, I have decided to take a vidding hiatus. Well, I will be practising my vidding and honing my skills behind the scenes, but I'm not going to be uploading anything until at least next year. I find that I'm putting myself under too much pressure with comparing my work to other vidders, worrying about how many comments or subscribers I'm getting, or worrying about how often I'm uploading. I just want to relax and enjoy it, otherwise my love for it will be completely destroyed. I'm still going to be around here, and around YouTube though. I've gone off this layout already (I'm not a pink person), so I'll have a new layout soon. See you guys!

New Layout

Hey guys! I hope you like the new layout. I'm not great with graphics, but I hope it's not too bad. :-) I am still working hard on a few little projects, so sorry that things are kinda quiet.

I'm really looking forward to next weekend. The series six finale of Doctor Who, and the series four premier of Merlin??!! I'm in heaven! Lol. I just can't get enough of sci-fi and fantasy. It's a great way to escape the real world when it's getting ya down.

Anyway, I'll be adding a few new things to the website soon, so keep an eye out!

The Girl Who Waited

Hey guys, sorry it's been so long again. I just don't seem to find the time for anything lately.

Anyway, Doctor Who finally seems to be picking up steam again if the last two episodes are anything to go by, and HURRAH!! 'The Girl Who Waited' was emotional, exciting and brilliantly acted by all concerned, especially Karen Gillan. Kudos to her. She played old Amy with just a subtle difference in voice and mannerisms, and it worked perfectly.

The whole episode was just a wonderful idea. It was one of those episodes that captured my imagination and made me wish that I could come up with something like that.

The handbots were actually pretty frightening. I think the whole 'Kindness' thing was a pretty scary concept. I find that the creatures in the show that aren't entirely evil have a more sinister edge to them.

I also loved exploring Rory and Amy's relationship a little more too. I have always been a fan of their pairing, and this episode made me love it even more. It's the first time I think that we have seen just how much they truly love each other. I didn't used to like the way that Amy treated him, but their characters and therefore their relationship have developed so much.

The only thing that bothered me about the last two episodes is that the search for baby Melody seems to have been abandoned as she hasn't even been mentioned. Don't get me wrong, it didn't take anything away from the enjoyment of the episodes, and I'm not crazy about the Melody storyline anyway, but such a huge story development can't just be forgotten about with no explanation.

If 'Night Terrors' (another great episode) and 'The Girl Who Waited' are a taste of what's to come for the rest of the series, series six may well have redeemed itself.

You And I

Hey guys! Ten days since my last post. That's bad, lol. I am hard at work on my videos. :) Anyway, Lady Gaga has released her much anticipated video for her new single 'You And I'. I adore the song, it was one of my favourites from 'Born This Way'. The video though? Can anybody make head or tail of it? Lol. Nobody can say it's not interesting though. To me, it looks like the story is that this guy has met and fallen in love with a mermaid, and he is trying to make her human. If this is the case though, where does the ice cream van come in? Also, who is the guy that Lady Gaga is playing? Is he supposed to be part of the story? Oh well, weird and wonderful imagery as usual, even if I don't understand it, Lol. Still, incredible single choice, even if the video is more than a little mis-matched. We want it to get to number one guys!! I'm eagerly awaiting the next choice.

The Doctor Who Experience and Video

Aaaah! So excited!! Hehe. I have just booked my tickets for the 'Doctor Who Experience' in London. I just had to go before they moved it to Cardiff. I'm going next month. Has anybody been? I'd love to know what it's like. Post in the comments! I am so excited about standing on the Tardis sets! I am such a big kid, there's just no hope for me, lol. Here's hoping that there is no rioting going on then. I'm probably nuts booking tickets for something in London when all this has been going on, but hey ho.

Also, I have two videos in the works right now which is why I haven't posted in a bit, so hopefully I'll be posting them soon. It's about time I got something done. Bye guys!

I'm Back!/Much Ado About Nothing

Hey guys! I'm back after a site spruce up, hehe. Sorry about the break, but i've been just a tad busy with some personal things.

Okay, I have some news that I just HAVE to rave about. On Saturday, me and my Mum went up to London to see David Tennant and Catherine Tate in 'Much Ado About Nothing'. I can't actually express to you guys how amazing it was! It was absolutely hysterical, and we enjoyed it so much.

'Much Ado' is like the rom-com of Shakespeare's time. The main characters of Benedick (Tennant) and Beatrice (Tate), are both determined never to marry, but are each tricked by their friends into believing that they have secret feelings for one another, and their opinion of each other changes, and of course the pair fall for each other.

This particular adaptation of the play was set in the eighties, which I think was a fantastic choice. It made it fresh and more fun. There's dancing, there's music, it's just so alive. You forget it's Shakespeare after awhile.

David and Catherine were perfect casting choices for the roles of Benedick and Beatrice. Their chemistry is perfect, as they are ofcourse great friends off-stage and it shows. You would be forgiven for thinking that they were cast purely to get people to the theatre, but you would be wrong. David is, as all of his fans must know, no newcomer to Shakespeare, and he plays the role with perfect comedy timing, heart and enthusiasm. Even alone on stage addressing the audience he was making the whole theatre cry with laughter. His facial expressions were fantastic, and his emphasis and timing were superb. He even has a couple of scenes which involved physical comedy, and he was brilliant. He makes his grand entrance on a golf cart! Does it get any better than that?!

Catherine of course brings alot of her famous comedy mannerisms to her role, but this was an obvious thing to do. People would have been disappointed if she hadn't. I mean lets face it, more than half the audience will be fans, and this is how we are familiar with her. Catherine also has a scene that involves physical comedy, she is hoisted into the air!

The whole production was so amazingly well thought out, directed and performed. It was just like watching a rom-com at the cinema. It didn't matter that it was in the old language, as it was easy to follow, and all the jokes and the comedy were very easy to understand. It was almost like they were speaking our modern language. It was extremely entertaining, and I wish I could go again.
